Attention all Teaching Faculty-Here is your opportunity to present at a regional conference!

April 18th 2018 to April 21st 2018 the Southern Group on Educational Affairs meeting will be held here in Jackson at UMMC.   This is a fantastic opportunity for our faculty to present your work at an AAMC regional conference and to showcase many of the wonderful innovations occurring here at UMMC.  There are a variety of SGEA presentation types.  You could present an oral presentation, a poster, small group discussion, workshop, or a demonstration.  Many of these presentations do not require research data.  If you have an innovative way to teach a particular topic consider presenting it!  Topics span all of medical education form faculty development to medical student education and everything in between.

Dr. Norris and Dr. Tipnis plan to offer workshops for faculty who are interested in preparing submissions for the meeting. These workshops are not required and any faculty member can submit.  The first workshop with be Wednesday Sept 6th 1230-230pm in the SOM.  Please email Dr. Jeni Tipnis at [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]> if you would like to attend and bring your work so we can have a working meeting.  If you are not sure you have a topic, please come and listen anyways.  You might be surprised.    The more the merrier.
