Let's work on some items together in the next Clinical Vignette Writing Circle.



Submit up to three assessment items for collaborative work during the October 28 session of the Clinical Vignette Writing Circle (CVWC). During this workshop style setting, engage in reviews and revisions of items as you identify flaws and ways to eliminate them in your assessments. The CVWC promotes increased integration of clinical and basic science content into assessments and addresses student feedback. For example, in the 2021 AAMC Graduation Questionnaire, only 70% of UMMC respondents indicated that "basic science coursework had sufficient illustrations of clinical relevance." This work can lead to more clinical illustrations and more assessment items that align with those on licensure exams.



Submit your items to Dr. Lecretia Buckley<mailto:[log in to unmask]> by noon on Monday, October 25, for the next session. Submitting items is not a prerequisite for attendance.



The CVWC meets monthly on the fourth Thursday at 1:30 p.m. in room 323 of the SOM Medical Education Building.
