Dear Faculty,

   Each year we pair 2-3 M1 and/or M2 students with various faculty members to serve as informal advisors and mentors. We try to match specialty interest where we can, but given how early it is in their curriculum we find that having anyone they can connect to and go to for advice is beneficial. We ask that you meet with each student one time this semester for 30 minutes to 1 hour to discuss their progress in medical school, the challenges they’ve faced, and their future plans. Even if you do not know specific answers to any questions they may have, you can still provide guidance on how to professionally find the answers.
