Reminder:

Each year, the Office of Medical Education recognizes our faculty's time and effort devoted to educating future physicians. The Trailblazer Teaching Award recognizes educators with a demonstrated record of innovating, engaging, and inspiring others through their service to students in the School of Medicine. During the COVID-era, faculty have gone above and beyond to provide students with a quality, effective medical education.

Nominees should:
        * Demonstrate teaching innovations in course and curriculum design
        * Demonstrate the ability to engage, inspire, and mentor learners
        * Communicate clear, cohesive learning goals to their students
        * Engage in continual professional development as an educator
        * Demonstrate educational leadership through collaboration with other teachers to
           enrich the scholarship of teaching and learning
        * Be recognized by their peers as an effective teacher

To nominate a faculty member, complete the Trailblazer Award for Excellence in Medical Student Education nomination form<https://forms.office.com/r/ynWQsNwvSs>. Any faculty member can make a nomination. Additionally, the award committee will award one Trailblazer Teaching Award recipient the Trailblazer of the Year award. The Trailblazer of the Year demonstrates the qualities above, is respected as a dynamic medical educator, and leads peers in curricular adaptation and innovation. Thank you for your dedication to our students and the medical education program.

The deadline for nominations is Tuesday, November 30, 2020.
