The School of Medicine seeks dynamic and engaging faculty facilitators for problem-based learning and small group sessions during the spring semester for M1 courses. Facilitators are asked to arrive prepared and complete evaluations of students afterward. Participation in the undergraduate medical education program is useful when the time comes for promotion!

For all POPS (patient-oriented problem-solving) sessions, students will take a pretest and work through 5 cases. Students are responsible for teaching one another the correct answers for the cases and pretest. Facilitators are there only to answer questions, clarify points of confusion, and add a layer of foundational science or clinical context to the learning opportunity.

If you are interested in participating, you can learn more about the sessions and sign up by following this link or scanning the QR code below. This file includes the schedule & learning objectives or a brief session description. Each session lasts 1 hour, and you can sign up for just one or multiple hours based on your availability.

Faculty who facilitated sessions in the fall have described these sessions as both fun and rewarding, with many volunteering multiple times. We hope you will join us!

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Yours,

David
